BIOGRAPHY
With ‘For Moments Never Done’ the Dutch progressive metalband Cirrha Niva reinvented themselves again. CIRRHA NIVA RULES! according to world known Metal Mike of Dutch Aardschok Magazine/Kink FM Radio. After the conclusion of the much talked about shows of the Cult-rock opera “Liaison de la Morte”, Cirrha Niva took a lot of time to evolve as a band. The band’s line-up has been changed drastically, with vocalist Legrand and his powerful voice and vocal melodies as biggest improvement.

In 2009, under the guidence of producers Jochem  Jacobs and Bouke Visser of Split Second Sound Studio (known of Textures, Autumn, Stream Of Passion), the band developed their already unique  sound even more, resulting surprisingly in ‘For Moments Never Done’. Cirrha Niva’s sound consists of technical thrash riffs, pounding drums, melodic and shredding guitar solo’s. Musical references can be compared with bands such as Nevermore, Dream Theater, Rush, Faith No More, Iron  Maiden and Thin Lizzy.

On ‘For Moments Never Done’ the band received the help of a few guest musicians. Vocalist Robin de Groot (Chiraw) emphasizes with his grunts and screams ‘The Fooling’ and  vocalist Manda Ophuis (Nemesea) sings with Legrand in ‘Dreamon’. Keyboardplayer Joost van den Broek (ex After Forever) adds spheric elements to the album with piano, Hammond organ and soundscapes. Bouke Visser plays a heartbreaking Floydian Saxophone solo in ‘Spring Before Winter’. And finally, the spoken words in Hebrew of Yuval Kramer (Amaseffer) are completing the theme of ‘Golan Heights’. During their tight and energetic live performances Cirrha Niva will be presenting mentioned guest musicians in the shape of samples. Where possible they will support the band live.

Cirrha Niva has a strong DO-IT-YOURSELF attitude and they work 220% for their music. Between sept 2009 and june 2010 they released the CD 'For Moments Never Done' on  their own independent label Parnassus Records run by guitarist Rob  Willemse and music manager Inge Steenhorst (in the past active as label & artist manager for Dutch rockband the Gathering / Psychonaut Records. The band invested a lot in quality studio recordings,  cd production and press promotion. The album has received overall high rates from international music press.
